355 metres above everyday life.

Being on the St. Annaberg is like pressing a pause button on everyday life.

The highest-lying winery in the Palatinate. Riesling from four vineyards, a small manor hotel and a wine lounge overlooking the Rhine plain.

“It matters greatly to me to show the come from of the wines on the labels as well.”

Saint Anne

The estate is named after her.

Sabre with tricolour

Napoleon's troops built the estate.

Ham and wild boar

The ham stands for Sebastian, my husband and master butcher with his own butcher's shop. The wild boar for the hunting ground around the estate.

The robin

Flora and fauna frame the nature reserve and our biodiversity.

The devil

Stands for the Teufelsberg, on which St. Anne's Chapel was built: in thanks that the region was spared the plague.

The Annaberg is where I come from.

Since 1998 the family has farmed twelve hectares on the edge of the Palatinate Forest, below St. Anne's Chapel. Seven of them are planted with Riesling. Since the 2021 vintage the estate has been fully organic.

100 % organic* — and gladly one step further.

All wines from the 2021 vintage onwards are certified organic. Behind this is a holistic approach: thinking further and improving further — from the vineyard to the customer.

“Having grown up in the forests and vineyards around here, nature became part of my body and mind as a child. That is why I farm the vineyards organically and gladly go one step further.” Victoria Lergenmüller

Cellar-door sales

By buying at the cellar door you help us reduce postal shipping within the region.

The bottle

We bottle our wines in Eco2Bottle bottles with a recycled cullet content of up to 98%.

Energy & freight

Efficient use of cargo space and production with renewable energy are further strengths of the new bottles.

Biodiversity

In the vineyards we sow special seed mixtures to promote the diversity of species and flowers. Flowering strips and green refuges between the vineyards create habitats and nesting sites for birds and so contribute to the natural regulation of insects.

The carton

The new carton is printed in black ink only and needs no additional coating.

Tin capsules

The capsules are made of pure tin, which makes recycling easier.

*Certified under the EU organic regulation
